The Gallery is moving…

Wednesday, March 3rd, 2010

If you haven’t noticed, the gallery on this site is slowly disappearing. I’ve decided to move everything over to flickr.

Here are the details:

Please note that some of the photos are not public. If you want to see these photos, you’ll need to get a flickr account, and then add me as a friend/contact.

Brugge

Cathy and I went to Brugge over the Easter long weekend. No complaints ;-)

Photos are up in the gallery.

Durham Photos

Photos from Durham are up!

Unfortunately, the upload I left running of the photos I took in Whitby on the way back from Durham doesn’t seem to have worked, so I’ll try to get them up later this week…

The Lake District

Friday, November 3rd, 2006

Speaking of photography, I’ve finally put up some of the photos I took in the Lake District back in September. Nothing too flash, as it was more of a family holiday than a photo trip, so there weren’t many opportunities for me take my time setting up shots. (I’m nothing if not methodical.)

Paddock

Sunday, September 17th, 2006

It’s London Open House this weekend, and I managed to get tickets to go and see "Paddock", a bunker built at the start of WWII as an alternative centre of operations for the Cabinet, if required. Yay for undergound stuff!

I’ve got some photos up in the gallery.

Croatia

Sunday, September 17th, 2006

So, it’s about time I wrote up some details about Croatia, apart from the fact that I’ve been there, and that Ryanair broke one of my lenses.

Cathy and I went along as part of a contingent to celebrate Glen’s 30th birthday. He’d booked Captain Morgan’s Villa, in Mrgani, which is in the centre of the Istrian Peninsula. The villa was fantastic, although the print out of an article from the Guardian website, which had been faded, had the edges burnt, and framed to hang on the wall was a little bit OTT.

The whole trip was basically just about hanging about, relaxing, and eating, which was perfect. We did head out and check out nearby Rovinj, Pula and Motovun, as well as the Plitvice National Park.

All in all, a fantastic week away!

Glen has some more photos of the trip up as well…

Croatia Photos

I’m back from a week in Croatia!

Photos are up in the gallery. Unfortunately, Ryanair broke one of my lenses, so I didn’t take as many photos as I wanted to. Hopefully, though, you can still get some idea of how truly stunning Croatia is.

I’ll write up more about the trip another night this week, I hope…

You know it makes sense…

Kew Gardens

Thursday, April 27th, 2006

I know that I am running a bit behind in the blog here, but last Saturday was such a nice day, Cathy, David and I decided to pass on watching the F1 qualifying session, and went off to Kew Gardens for the afternoon. Lovely!

In fact, it was such a nice day to be out in the sunshine, I found I wasn’t really all that inspired to take photos – I was just enjoying being out and about. I did take this one, though, of the Chokushi-Mon.

Sunday was gloomy and miserable with rain, so I was very glad we decided to make the most of the sun while it lasted!
